Account
This page is for deleting your Fantopy account and the personal data associated with it. You can use this page even if you no longer have the Fantopy app installed. The fastest route is the in-app option below; if you can't or don't want to open the app, send a request using the form on this page.
Delete from the app
If you still have Fantopy installed and can sign in:
- Open the Fantopy app.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm the action.
Your account and the data linked to it will be queued for deletion immediately. See what happens to your data below.
Request deletion from the web
If you don't have the app installed, can't sign in, or would rather request deletion in writing, use the form below. It will open your email client with the request pre-filled so you can send it from the email address linked to your Fantopy account.
Submitting this form opens an email to support@fantopy.ai. Please send it from the email address you signed in to Fantopy with so we can verify the request.
We process your request once the email arrives from the address linked to your account. We may send a verification email before proceeding. Most requests are completed within 30 days. If you would rather email us directly, write to support@fantopy.ai with the same information.
What gets deleted
When we process your account deletion request, the following data is permanently deleted:
- Your account record: email address, authentication identifiers, and any profile information.
- Your chat transcripts: messages between you and the AI football manager.
- Your handle and display identity: your name and handle stop appearing in groups and the app.
- Your voice records: voice audio is not retained beyond your active session, and conversation transcripts held by our voice provider on our behalf are removed.
What may be anonymised
Some records are anonymised rather than deleted so that historical results and leaderboards remain intact for other users:
- Predictions and leaderboard entries: your predictions and scores are kept against an anonymised user reference, with no personal data attached. They can no longer be linked to you.
- Group participation history: the fact that a member participated in a group is preserved against an anonymised reference; your personal details are removed.
What we may retain
We may retain limited records where we are required to or where it is necessary for legitimate purposes:
- Support tickets and AI response reports related to your account, for up to 12 months after resolution.
- Server logs and diagnostics for up to 30 days as part of our standard log rotation.
- Encrypted backups on a rolling 30-day basis, after which the backup expires and any remaining data in it is overwritten.
- Records required to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our Terms of Use.

If you never signed in
If you used Fantopy anonymously and never signed in with an email magic link, there is no server-side account to delete. Your identity is stored only on your device. To remove it:
- Clear the Fantopy app data on your device (iOS: delete and reinstall the app; Android: Settings → Apps → Fantopy → Storage → Clear data).
- Or uninstall the Fantopy app.
Server-side data we hold for anonymous sessions (such as predictions tied to a device identifier and diagnostic logs) follows the retention periods in our Privacy Policy.
How long it takes
We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. In-app deletions are usually processed within hours. Web requests take longer because we may send a verification email and need a reply from the email address linked to your account. If you don't receive any communication from us within 30 days, write to support@fantopy.ai and we will look into it.

Account deletion requests are handled by Benchwarmer Studios Pte. Ltd., a private limited company incorporated in Singapore.
