This Privacy Policy explains how Benchwarmer Studios Pte. Ltd. ("Fantopy", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your data when you use the Fantopy app and website at fantopy.ai. It is written to be readable. If anything is unclear, email support@fantopy.ai.

Who operates Fantopy
Fantopy is operated by Benchwarmer Studios Pte. Ltd., a private limited company incorporated in Singapore (UEN 202539650Z). References to "Fantopy", "we", "us", or "our" in this policy mean Benchwarmer Studios Pte. Ltd.

What Fantopy is
Fantopy is a free football predictions app for World Cup 2026. You can make match score predictions, chat with an AI football manager, join private groups, and compare results on leaderboards.
Fantopy is an independent product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to FIFA, any tournament organiser, federation, team, or player. References to the tournament and to teams or players are descriptive only.
Data we collect
We collect only what we need to operate the product. Categories include:
Account data
- Email address when you sign in with an email magic link.
- Account identifiers generated by our authentication provider, including a Supabase user ID and authentication session metadata.
Anonymous identity
- Device-local anonymous ID generated when you use the app before signing in. This stays on your device and is replaced with a server-side identity once you sign in.
Profile and game identity
- Display handle, AI manager name, supported country or team, group memberships, and leaderboard identity.
Prediction and gameplay data
- Match predictions, competition entries, points, leaderboard rank, and share cards generated by your activity.
Chat and AI content
- Text messages to and from the AI football manager, AI response reports, support tickets, and bug reports you submit through the app.
Voice data (when you use voice features)
- Microphone audio you record while talking to the AI manager, the speech-to-text transcript, the text-to-speech audio returned to you, and voice session and conversation identifiers.
Diagnostics and logs
- IP address (or a salted hash), user agent, request paths, timestamps, server errors, crash reports, stack traces, and the version of your browser or app.
Device and app metadata
- Platform (iOS, Android, web), app version, locale, time zone, and approximate country derived from IP or selected by you.
Support communications
- Emails to support@fantopy.ai, support ticket context, and any screenshots or details you choose to send us.
We do not collect financial information, payment card numbers, cryptocurrency wallet addresses or transaction data, precise location, contacts, calendar entries, SMS or call logs, health or fitness data, photos, or files.
How we use data
We use the data we collect to:
- Run the Fantopy app, including authentication, predictions, leaderboards, groups, and the AI football manager.
- Score predictions and maintain leaderboards using fixture and result data from third-party sports data providers.
- Operate AI chat and voice features, including generating replies and maintaining conversation context.
- Diagnose errors, fix bugs, and keep the service reliable and secure.
- Respond to your support requests and AI response reports.
- Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms of Use.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell access to you to advertisers and we do not train third-party machine learning models on your data without an appropriate legal basis. We do use a small number of advertising and measurement pixels on the Fantopy website to understand which marketing channels work and to reach people who have shown interest in Fantopy; see Section 13 on cookies for the detail.
AI manager and voice processing
Fantopy includes an AI football manager. When you chat with the AI manager by text, the text you send, the generated reply, and session metadata are processed by us and by our AI service providers (including Anthropic for the underlying language model) so the feature can understand your message and generate a response.
When you use the voice features, your microphone audio is captured by your device, streamed to our voice service provider (ElevenLabs Conversational AI) for speech-to-text and text-to-speech, and used to generate the spoken reply you hear. Voice session and conversation identifiers are stored so the manager can maintain context across the conversation.
Voice data retention. ElevenLabs operates as our processor for the voice features and retains conversation transcripts and any audio recordings only for the period we configure in the Fantopy agent settings. We have configured the Fantopy agent so that audio recordings are not retained and transcripts are retained for up to 30 days for troubleshooting and product quality, after which they are deleted. ElevenLabs may also process technical metadata (such as request IDs and quality metrics) to operate and improve their services, as set out in the ElevenLabs Privacy Policy.
AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected. The AI manager is for entertainment and football discussion only. It is not a source of official tournament information, betting advice, financial advice, or guaranteed predictions.
If the AI manager produces something inappropriate, unsafe, incorrect, or broken, please report it from the in-app reporting flow or email support@fantopy.ai. We use these reports to improve the product.
Third-party service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to run Fantopy. They process data only as needed to perform their service and only as instructed by us. Categories include:
- Authentication and account hosting for sign-in, account identity, and the user database.
- AI language model providers that generate the AI football manager's text replies.
- AI voice provider (ElevenLabs) for speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and conversation handling when you use voice features.
- Sports data providers that supply fixtures, results, and player data used for scoring and leaderboards.
- Hosting, backend, and database providers that run our infrastructure.
- Error diagnostics that help us identify and fix bugs.
- Advertising and measurement on the Fantopy website (see Section 13 on cookies for what this involves).
- Web fonts loaded on the Fantopy website.
- App store distribution through Apple and Google for the iOS and Android apps.
- Email and support tooling for handling messages sent to support@fantopy.ai.
An up-to-date list of the specific named providers is available from support@fantopy.ai on request.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not run advertising trackers inside the Fantopy mobile apps. The Fantopy website uses a small number of advertising and measurement pixels; see Section 13 on cookies.
- We do not collect payment card, bank account, or cryptocurrency transaction details.
- We do not offer betting, gambling, entry fees, or cash prizes in this version of Fantopy.
- We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Retention and deletion
We retain data only as long as needed for the purposes set out above, then delete or anonymise it. Indicative retention periods:
- Account records: for as long as your account is active.
- Predictions and leaderboard entries: for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, prediction and leaderboard records may be anonymised and retained so that historical leaderboards and competition results remain intact.
- Chat transcripts: for as long as your account is active. Deleted on account deletion.
- Voice audio: not retained by Fantopy. Our voice service provider (ElevenLabs) is configured not to retain audio recordings of your sessions.
- Voice transcripts: retained by our voice service provider on our behalf for up to 30 days for troubleshooting, then deleted.
- Support tickets and AI response reports: retained for up to 12 months after resolution to support follow-up and product improvement.
- Server logs and diagnostics: retained for up to 30 days.
- Backups: encrypted backups are retained on a rolling 30-day basis.
We may retain limited records for longer where we are required to do so to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our Terms of Use.
Account deletion
You can delete your Fantopy account at any time:
- In the app: open Settings and choose Delete account.
- From the web: visit fantopy.ai/account-deletion and submit a request, even if you no longer have the app installed.
- By email: write to support@fantopy.ai from the email address you signed in with.
We may send a verification email before processing the request. We aim to complete account deletion within 30 days of a verified request, with the retention and anonymisation behaviour set out in section 08. Anonymous users (who have not signed in with an email) do not have a server-side account; clearing the app data on your device removes your local identity.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate personal data.
- Delete your account and personal data, subject to the retention rules above.
- Withdraw consent or object to processing where the processing relies on consent or legitimate interests.
- Receive a portable copy of certain personal data you have provided.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@fantopy.ai from the address linked to your Fantopy account. We will respond within a reasonable period and at most within 30 days of a verified request.
If you are in Singapore, Benchwarmer Studios Pte. Ltd. is the responsible organisation under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your data in line with the GDPR or UK GDPR; the legal bases we rely on are typically the performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and your consent where applicable.
Children and minors
Fantopy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you are between 13 and 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), please use Fantopy only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, and only where local law allows.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, email support@fantopy.ai and we will delete the data.
Profiling and automated decisions
We do not use your personal data to build advertising profiles or to make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects through fully automated means. The AI manager generates responses to you in real time, but it does not decide eligibility, pricing, or anything similar based on profiling.
Links to third-party sites
Fantopy may contain links to third-party websites, apps, or services we do not operate, including the websites of our service providers. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices or their content. If you follow a link, you should read the privacy policy of the site you are visiting.
Security
We use HTTPS and TLS for data in transit, restrict access to systems holding personal data, log administrative access, and rely on managed cloud providers that maintain industry-standard security controls. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to apply reasonable safeguards appropriate to the data we hold.
International processing
Fantopy is operated from Singapore, and our service providers (including those listed in section 06) operate infrastructure in jurisdictions that include the United States, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other regions. Your personal data may be transferred to and processed in those jurisdictions.
Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on contractual safeguards, the legal frameworks our processors maintain, and providers whose practices we consider appropriate for the data involved.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the product, our processors, or applicable law changes. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email.
